My guess would be that when you have ask a born again believer for facts..or text...or any kind of reason that has to do with God / Jesus...of course they turned to the Bible...scripture...to explain their opinion or thoughts....That is what living for Jesus is all about. We wrap our lives around the word of God written in the Bible...so when we need to explain...search...figure out anything...we turn to the Bible...and of course prayer.
My thoughts and opinions of Gods words are just that ...thoughts and opinions...UNLESS, i turn to scripture and let the Holy Spirit discern to me the meaning of said scripture and how it applies to my life. As in this case...when you ask me to give you a reason for saying "The Bible is the COMPLETE word of God. God has never left out or forgot anything.?"...i also have to offer scripture to back my claims up because i am a follower of Jesus. Here would be a couple.
2 Timothy 3:15-17

15and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Revelation 22:18-19

18I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. 19And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.
HOWEVER...you ask for some kind of text or personal knowledge outside the Bible that makes a similar statement...so i would offer you this reading by a good Bible teaching and preaching man....John MacArthur.

And as far as "you answering more completely the questions i posed"....im not sure that i really ask any questions....
