I agree that most would want that. (Let alone wanting to retain enough vision to drive, read a book, watch TV, cook a meal...)

Concerning *not* giving injections at home because the patients may be legally blind, isn't the hope that most of these AMD drugs would be given before it gets that bad?

Even though Visudyne is not perfect, one of the doctors on the FDA panel reviewing Macugen said that the typical worst case patient they encountered now could see better than those they encountered before it came along.
