As an aside, I can't help but be amused by the fact that the majority of the people who are complaining about a courtesy notification of price adjustment:

1) Aren't affected by it (because they're monthly subscribers) and
2) Are already paying more per year than even the increased price (because they're monthly subscribers).

Talk to me about things that don't make sense

Again. This price adjustment will not affect current recurring subscribers. It affects new recurring subscriptions only. If you're already on a recurring subscription and you're happy with it, your rate will remain unchanged.
