Tiger, My dad played AAA ball in Virginia after the war. The Cubs called him up to start first base.
His last game in Virginia ,he popped and achilles heel, he ended up in a VA hospital instead.
I think he would've been the first Jew to play for the Cubs. Back in those days a Jew playing ball in the deep south, probably no different for your dad in Hungary. My dad was built like a brick shit house, so most kept their mouth shut.
