You sure know your stuff. That's what I've been thinking. The 3G stuff took to long to get off the ground and something better and cheaper has come along before it could get established. Not only is it going to hurt QCOM, but also the wireless carriers that paid big bucks for the 3G spectrum. Wimax as far as I know is using "free" spectrum.

The other one that's going to get hurt is IDCC. They actually had the patents and got cheated out of them. Those using them have stalled long enough to make them useless.
