It is still hype and for reasons I have explained in earlier posts, it will not be able to compete at high density memories. It was hyped to replace dram. NVEC, in order to "improve performance" even got into hybrid "thermal/magnetic" systems (borrowing a page from OUM), and that has its own problems. NVEC has been trying (succesfully on the PR front) to paint their MRAM as "nanotechnology" which it is not. CCMP is more in nanotechnology than NVEC is...
