The claim about elevated bilirubin is true (see below). You probably noticed that ACHN’s webcast slide citing the differentiating features of TMC435 had a question mark after the word phototoxicity, which presumably means that this is not a claim by ACHN, but rather is just speculation.

Thanks for the info. I did catch the question mark next to phototoxicity so I figured that was just speculation.

It's good to hear that another HCV PI in front of ACH-1625 has some potential safety concerns. Of course, it's also important to note that the presentation slide didn't disclose all of the competing 2nd gen HCV PIs ahead of ACH-1625 (about 5 or so according to your list), the majority of whom I assume have not shown safety concerns to this point.
