I've never been a great fan of bundt cakes and have never owned a bundt pan nor baked a bundt cake.

Yet, in a bizarre twist of fate, today I baked an apple kuchen in a springform pan. This is the first time I've ever used a springform pan. I am currently on a mission to reproduce the apple kuchen that my Aunt Martha used to bake many years ago. I was probably about 8 or 10 years old and my parents would visit my aunt and uncle and she'd serve this cake that I absolutely loved. It's easily been over 40 years since I last had one of those cakes but I can still taste it in my mind. Sigh...

She probably baked a great bundt cake too but I don't give a hoot.
