For the purposes of this thread I would like the replies to this post to outline what is believed and from were that opinion comes.
Chairs...I love the idea of triangulation and honest open discussion on both sides of the fence without the anger etc.
For the record, I am long. I am not pumping or bashing. If the truth were told though, my DD in the beginning was not as thorough as it should have been. I would have never approached this stock had it been.
As I sit here, I try to think up all the reasons why this is a great opportunity to make money. Personally, the only thing they have in their favor is Pike buying 5 to 8 million dollars worth of stock. I have to believe they know something I don't. The advertising campaign is great but it doesn't necessarily translate into sales.
Against the company, I've noticed that when it was time to start filing things with the SEC that matter, they disappeared basically. What I mean is, when they started claiming huge sales etc...suddenly they failed to back all that up with actual filings. Behavior like that makes me very suspicious.
Playing things close to the vest is one thing but total silence? They claimed publicly that they were cooperating with the SEC and expected to file their financials by October 16th. They should have publicly addressed the reasons why they were not able to do that. A month later we still have nothing. And it simply isn't a strong enough of an arguement to publicly claim they are the victim of short sellers. That equates to saying, "the devil made me do it..."
I have wanted to believe that this company was doing all the right things and building a successful enterprise but according to their filings, the had an accumulated deficit of more then 3 and a half million by the beginning of 2008. Since we haven't seen financial figures for 2009 or 2010, how can we be expected to believe that they have had a sudden surge of mega success?
This is all just my personal opinion. I'll be the first to admit that I am not an expert and not afraid to ask others for their knowledge, or experience. If my thinking is not quite right, please let me know. It's the only way I can learn.
