Perhaps this is why Bruce Sewell left to join Apple

I read somewhere that Intel hired some new counsel with expertize in anti trust law. Perhaps he told Intel they were cooked and recommended to settle. Looks like AMD got everything they wanted short of having their entire debt paid off. As Phud would say.....Intel was taken to the cleaners.
