Kate, Tad LaFountain, an analyst who had been an AMD bull, predicted a rise of $8/share in the stock price: #msg-6867391 . That would have translated to an additional $5.3 billion in market cap, i.e. over four times the actual cash settlement.

Dan3 predicted a $10 billion settlement: #msg-6867805. And that's before punitive, in his words.

Compared to that, the settlement was a bargain, but I'd rather not compare to artifically inflated estimates from the AMD cheerleaders.
