Scare-mongering is where Cheney says we are all going to die in nuclear hell fire, if we don't vote Bush-Cheney.
Well if Kerry is elected, I hope he does something about the illiteracy of his supporters.
What Cheney said was that the risk was that if we get attacked again Kerry would react with a very pre-9/11 mindset, which is absolutely true considering Kerry's comments in NY Times magazine about reducing terrorism to a nuisance.
Talking about the draft is scare-mongering in its worst form. It's a way of lying to younger voters to get them to think that voting for Kerry is a matter of life and death.
"If we make the wrong choice, then the danger is that we'll get hit again--that we'll be hit in a way that will be devastating from the standpoint of the United States. And then we'll fall back into the pre-9/11 mindset, if you will, that in fact these terrorist attacks are just criminal acts and that we're not really at war.
