OK, Why would they stop short on drilling? 342 meters or 1122 ft before planned TD.
Three reasons, I can think of.
#1, zones running low and thinking it may be salt water. But they know how high/low everything is off the 3D. So not that, IMO.
#2, Hole conditions. Hole sloughing or caving in so bad that they can't keep drilling. But they have drilled so many holes in the GOG they should know what to expect and be ready for it.
#3, They have found an upper zone that may be better than the target zone and want to look at it before they drill deeper.
