Money is NOT the only source of a 'vested' interest.

So what are the other reasons why people would waste their time posting on a stock that they don't have a vested interest in?

"Waste of time" is your interpretation.

Some people spend time watching their aquariums, some people go to zoos, some people get their entertainment from reality TV.

It's all the same.
