i just think more value can be unlocked by combining the drug earlier in development
my second point is that there may not be enough data to garner the kind of dollars idix is looking for (i.e. a partner may want to know the drug can be combined with soc and has 1-2 logs in the clinic before shelling out big money). this last point may keep me from buying the stock since even though i think the drug has promise and probability is high that the 28 day study will be successful, 6 months is a long way away in the shortsighted world of biotech investing (*uless the preclinical data is convincing - i do think they have monkey data showing 2 logs or so - and/or they can negotiate a deal with a large milestone for successful completion of the 28 day study)
