As for Pres Obama "doubled unemployment", apparently you don't keep up with financial news - just about every financial analyst predicts unemployment to eventually reach 10% thanks to The Decider allowing the economy to spin into a recession beginning Dec, 2007.
Remember this Bush-ism about our so-called "healthy" economy as he defended his stimulus package to boost that so-called "healthy" economy...
"We can provide a shot in the arm to keep a fundamentally strong economy strong".

Then in a desperate attempt to keep the economy from becoming an issue in the '08 election, economic "genius" John McCain offered this...
"The fundamentals of our economy are strong".

"Why do you think that's better?" - Better than what, four more years of Repubs trying to convince a nation hurt by a serious recession that we're really not in serious economic trouble, and what's probably needed is MORE tax cuts for the top 1% earners?
