I guess I should repost my question because everybody has gone off on a tangent that the 12.9billion was the TOTAL equity position ,that was not my question or point. I wanted to know its origin ;because, I was thinking if I new this it would shead some light on the future value of commons and if and why they stated 12.9billion ,then before you subtract the 16billion pre pitition earnings techniquly they are saying commons is carring value of 12.9billion. I wanted to know what assumption is allowing this value to be posted on the 8k for sep 2009MOR3, doesnt it seem odd ? I would assume with all this mark to market stuff it should be current market value in that space not 12.9billion. SO can I get an unbiased strait answer: where does that number COME FROM? I know its not the total. Thats not the question. Let me reiterate without being redundant the commons are listed as haveing 12.9B asset value >in the total< equity calculation WHY? I even cleaned up my grammer some LOL
