"Harvard Study Shows Government Health Spending in U.S. Exceeds Costs in any Nation With National Health Insurance"

OK...

Ask Sox about this institution, reference "Partners". This is analogous to the fox discussing how to safeguard hens in the Hen House.

"We Pay for National Health Insurance but Don't Get It"

yup...most public sector employees have extraordinary health care plans and pay very little out of pocket, virtually free.

Most public sector retirees have very generous health care benefits which they receive as early as age 50 and continue receiving until they die. In the private sector certain privileged union employees are given special treatment with regard to health care; reference GM, Chrysler.

Most private sector employees have plans that range from none to excellent and many have to pay a substantial portion of the premium, plus taxes to support the public sector.

And the poor are cared for through Medicaid.

I've said many times I'm all for a single payer system as long as it's paid for equitably by all beneficiaries, except the most impoverished. National sales tax would be the easiest method of providing a base level of care and revenue stream, with a progressive tax on income to cover the balance...simple. Want more coverage, buy a private policy for coverage beyond the basic plan.

I doubt you will see the public sector agree, and I also have no doubt that they will fight any attempt to have them pay for the pending legislation, or give up any benefits they currently have....

Call it what you want...
