Here is some info that any long might find important. I had a conversation with Peter Toscano this morning. I wanted to know if we should be getting paper certificates. He said to tell everyone I know to call and request paper certificates and if they refuse or tell you it can't be done, to then ask for that answer to be in writing. Peter wants copies of ALL correspondence like that from brokers for future "use". He also said I could share this on the board. I wanted paper certs because I do not care about selling any time soon and wanted the security of having them physically in my possession.

I called etrade and they said they would get back to me but thought they would first have to be transferred to DSR and then possibly paper certs could be issued and he (Brian Kofoed) would call me back in 10 min. Well, two hours later, I called him and lo and behold, not only can paper certs NOT be issued for IPWG (so he was told), they cannot even be put into the DSR (transfer agent). When I asked for that in writing, he said he didn't think he could produce it. I insisted he either try, or give me the name and number of someone at etrade that will sign a paper that says I cannot have paper certificates for a stock I own.

I think in the broken cell phone conversation I had with Peter he said the DSR is part of the DTC. Sounds about right, but I do not know for sure yet. It sure sounded like Peter was on the case!

For what it is worth. I would like to know if anyone else has any luck with their brokers...
