Jerry Garcia was seen as the leader of a powerful, wasted, counterculture element. His concerts were a gathering place for many unusual people and a supermarket of drugs. He was a thorn in the side of every police department where they played and a problem for the drug war era government. Knowing that, doesn't it seem odd that Jerry Garcia was able to O.D. while under care for opiate addiction in a medical center? Was it a bad coincidence or a covert operation?
