typical fasting - last meal before 10 pm. testing between 7-10 am next day.

diabetic family - hereditary - no genetic disorder

not sure what the NPO status means?

as far as the herbal supplement - not quite sure.

Before knowing the results from the October testing - doctor placed me on Niaspan 500 mg - 1 pill per day with follow up in 30 days. I have decided to interrupt the herbal and do the pills for 30 days and see what happens.

Could my sensible diet (limited fried food) have contributed to the tryglicerides decline from 830 to 450???

trying to determine if i should follow just the herbal treatment/supplement or the pills - niaspan and/or statins.
