We've always had an in ground pump and motor. This is the second time we've had to replace them but we've lived here a long time.

Actually it's the third...the motor burned out due to a lightning strike a few years ago but was covered by a warranty which was due to run out 30 days later! One of the few lucky things that happened to us as homeowners.
