Whatever benefit regarding US exports is gained by the weak dollar is more than offset by the exodus of foreign investors from the US equity market caused by the weak dollar. Europeans are getting a double whammy from the US stock market decline -- not only do they lose money on their US investments, they lose even more because of the dollar meltdown against the Euro.
