Algae Fuel Project in line for $750,000 Federal Funds. SD-CAB, San Diego-Center for Algae Biotechnolgy, is in line to receive $750,000 to be used for small bioreacters at Univ. Calif. San Diego. The article states that it currently cost around $30.00 per gal. to produce jet fuel from algae. They expect that cost to drop to around $2.00 within s decade.
