John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

Israel is really claiming "sun is god" as the individual word shows. Inherently the name itself worshiping Jesus as He said that He is the Light. Sun gives the light to us, and Jesus was symbolically saying that He is the Light which spiritually enlightens us. Therefore, whether all Israel people knows it or not, they are proclaiming "Jesus as God" even though they deny Jesus as the Son of God.
