shareholders do own the company but with restriction on running it... for example --
The biggest company in the USA is the Goverment!

I own the goverment - like the many of millions of americans do - I pay taxes, so all in all they work for me - I used this in court and it works !! - and I also vote to put the those morons in office to represent us..
I dont always agree with what they do so i vote them out... My so-called share certificates in the goverment is freedom, social security(joke), able to own a gun, now maybe healthcare (a joke) ect ect ---

shareholders have certain rights but dont oversee daily operations or management decisions BUT we do have a voice and we can get control by using our right to use our VOICE..
and if that doesnt work we use the number one right of all time and that is
WE "S U E" !!!!
