reel......i was thinking more in terms of the interface of american markets with the world financial arena....

the billions laundered thru AIG to the foreign banks....like UBS, Deutsche (and, i can't think of the French bank's name)...was to defray their loss for buying mortgage backed securities....

years ago....just imagine some banker in FDR's time or even the 1950's suggesting to his boss that he can create a "bond"/derivative by bundling sub-prime mortgages (what the hell are those???) and marketing them on a world wide network (what's that??)....that would have been science fiction....

this "crisis" will visit us again....only far, far worse...because the US and world community has allowed the tail to wag the dog....the financial markets cannot successfully drive any economy....the intrinsic economy must drive the confidence markets....

the computer has allowed those forces to become juxtaposed...
