welles, i agree with you on the DEEP rifts that will survive this elecion, but there is NO WAY in hell you can convince me that the CNN instant poll immediately after the cheney/edwards debate was 90% in favor of edwards...pure bs by ANY standard...tho i am a bush supporter, i am not afraid to say if bush loses a particluar debate unlike CNN, CBS or ABC who always find a way to say that the dems won...i honestly believe that bush lost the first debate convincingly, and that cheney won by an equal margin over an unsteady edwards, and that tonight was very close to call either way...i also believe that bush needs to get this last debate behind him (and hopefully with a tie or close), because i admit he is not a great debater, but once these debates are behind him, he can and will, use the last 3 weeks of the campaign to make people forget about the debates and focus on what is most important to them when they step in the voting booth: and that is security, because without that you have nothing...i think bush wins by more than people think
