Is it correct or not that the MM's buy stock at the "bid" and the innocent schmucks buy at the "ask"? Or are MM's purchasing at the sell price from innocents and debenture dumpers then holding shares until they sell to other purchasers at the "buy" price? If I somehow have not grasped the true nature of how the system works I would be most appreciative of some information so that I can better understand the system.
