The site being translated is obviously a good serious sign ,means the tech dept has spent time and $ getting site ready for China launch.I haven't had much to say ,the endless back and forth spec,bickering has me quite burnt out.
Bennyg to answer you at this point is irrelevant as Chinese holiday is over now but you were right my bad, baidu pr for Baidu launching japans mobile search was from 09/28/09 I saw same pr put out on oct 6 and didn't fully research it.
Chewy its ok to question and even be critical thats what a discussion boards all about but don't insult me by lumping me in with rosso his personal attacks on ak have been ugly, demeaning and ,unprofessional for a so called journalist who is supposed to be unbiased.I have defended Qtrax in every article or blog that I felt have been giving misleading or out right wrong info. I don't comment on rossos blog anymore because my ip address is blocked,hows that for fair or unbiased. The reality is after 2 years of doing so I'm tired.
I still believe and am very hopeful we will launch on the 29th,and Baidu will be our stategic partner,they can't launch in China without a Chinese stategic partner its Chinese law.I'm just hoping and waiting like everybody else for announcements.Launching a music service in China and having to compete against Baidu is a no win ,ever , qtrax knows this.No soft launch,and any less a stategic partner will fail.IMO
For the record Google launched its music service in China in march 09 has about 350k tracks last I checked, and has failed to turn a profit.Good luck to all who are truly invested.
