If a biotech says expect a deal by _____ date, an experienced analyst should assume it will take several months longer at least. A shrewd management wouldn't have given a timeline at all. I think its presumptuous of you to claim something went wrong without being privy to their inner workings. You're just guessing. What went wrong is they said to expect a deal by September and it didn't happen.
