Much of today's information comes from sound-bites on the cable networks...and some people seem to be fine with that. Others look for serious news/commentary, and that's the C-SPAN audience.
C-SPAN's weekend program, C-SPAN BOOKS is excellent...authors appearing at their signings speak in depth about their books, and authors are interviewed by C-SPAN hosts. My fav C-SPAN host is Brian Lamb - a great interviewer who allows his guests to speak without constantly interrupting.
