"That seems ample justification to put the Taliban on the same list of enemies as OBL" - Not so fast. There are probably hundreds of enemy of the US gangs in Afghan/Pakistan; should the US go after all of them? How long do think that'll take - 5yrs, 10yrs, 20yrs?...#1 we don't have the manpower, and #2 it would drain this country's treasury.
