Maybe you missed the point I made when I said that I supported going to war with a regime that harbored, protected, and funded Al Qaeda. That's justified from the standpoint of national security, because funding terrorism is just as threatening to our security than the terrorists themselves. I never said we needed to go to war with a country just because they don't agree, or because they hate us. In fact, I was very clear that I object to having gone to war with Iraq, which seemed to have no grounding outside of the fact that the Bush family had a vendetta with Saddam (or possibly an interest in oil - even worse!)

And how do you propose we do that? The Taliban defended AQ publicly, and forbade the U.S. from entering Afghanistan to find them. The U.S. couldn't help but make it policy to go to war with countries who harbor the terrorists we're trying to go after.
