"I can add however that multiple zones have been encountered, readings of which come from the wireline logs. The well is being accordingly suspended for now and the plan is to re-enter and flow test later, after drilling another well nearby on Blk 2. "

****JDA UPDATE ON DRILLING****

I just spoke with Sam at JDA. Here is what he just told me:

"Drilling has been completed in JDZ blocks 2 and 4 and the Deepwater Pathfinder is now in JDZ Block 3 drilling the Lemba prospect. The Deepwater Pathfinder will then go back to Block 4 JDZ. Results of the drilled wells will be known before end of this year, 2009. Source said results look to be extremely positive. "

"Drilling in JDZ Blocks 2 & 4 have went without incident. Very positive. The JDZ is "very optimistic and excited" about early results. The kinds of sands they have encountered in drilling blocks 2 & 4 indicates they have hit oil. And the gas was on top in each and oil below. JDA commented: "things are looking up".
The idea that early indications suggested blocks 2 & 4 were looking much more successful than Block 1 Chevron Obo-1 drilling drew enthusiastic agreement from JDA source. Results will for certain be announced released in 4th quarter this year – that is all 3 Blocks 2,3,4 will be announced. "
