Come on now. First of all, the buy-back can not exceed 20% of the traded shares for the day. secondly, they cannot purchase shares back the first and last 30 minutes of the trading day. There is a limit to how much can be bought back. So for the seller of the equity for debt having no limit on how much they can sell and at what price, of course it will outpace it at this time. However, that is going to soon change when they have converted all their shares. After that and for a time longer the company will be buying back.
