The music is "given away". ......Its played on the radio, AM and FM stations occasionally, if you twist the dial and get off that "talk radio" bs.

Now that digital radio is nigh, subscribers PAY for that service. I suppose, one day soon, it will be against the law to "remember" a tune, as the tune is copyrighted.

The entertainment industry is in a precarious position, on one hand wanting more "customers" and on the other hand, sueing their customers for wrongful use. What a scam. jmho
