MERQ. Briefing.com. Co. is due to report earnings tonight after market close; this morning Goldman Sachs expects MERQ to exceed Q203 ests, but cuts Y02 EPS est to $0.61 from $0.67 and Y03 EPS est to $0.75 from $0.88. Firm's reasons for lowered expectations are poor applications and services firms' Q2 results thus far....

I guess this explains what happened although a good earnings report for this past quarter should be good enough to prevent more damage. HOw big a role would you say "poor applications and services firms Q2 results thus far" will have on 3rd quarter for merq? How much of a lag is there i guess is the question? Would most of the bad news be in the same quarter? mike
