I too wish some of the genuine longs had gotten out at higher prices. Fsmith, for example, seemed like an honest investor trying to do his DD. I know there were others.

However, it's very possible for a stock to be a complete scam, like I believe Magnum is, and still have the stock price climb for a while. It would be great if all honest people made money and if all the swindlers went down in flames. That's not always the real world, though.

All we can do is play the odds. The odds are usually against people if they invest in a company which isn't on the level.
