Re: Quasi-Meme/Sass:About that exercise thing...

I started out the beginning of this month by working out each day on a "gravity bike" or "body jack", where you work against your own weight with food pedals and handlebars.

Since I've been laying off for a long time, I'm adding one rep a day. I figure if I can keep it up to the point where I can do 100 reps a day, I'll be doing damn well. One hundred reps would mean I'd lifted a total of 37,500 lbs. in a session!

Wow! You go guy!

Meme, you sound like U R BUFF, Girl! Shoulda expected it.

Not R buff, getting buff. <G> See my post to Sassy.

Sassy, don't expect your weight to necessarily drop all that much -- you'll simply be converting fat to muscle, which is denser, so you'll still lose size, but not necessarily weight.

Quite true. A measuring tape or your pants size might be a better judge than a scale. <G> Also, an added benefit I recalled from the days I used to swim laps is the new found energy for simple, every day tasks or other unexpected events.

At 11:00 p.m. last night I couldn't resist the urge to full-tilt-boogie to "Starting Over" by Lennon, and it felt great!
