I have no idea what your post to me is referring to .. my post said nothing about if you want to be Non Evangelical fine, go ahead........nor did it say anything about this ..

but those of faith that choose to derive their values from that faith are just as free to do so as you are to call them names and label them with your derogatory terms ...

The difference is you demean, chastise, and call them names to lump them into 1 demonized group and all they do for you is pray. They give you the choice to choose your own path, they would welcome you but will not force you.

If you don't agree, fine go on with your life such as it is but demonizing someone of faith is not going to change anything about them. If you cry FOUL because those in power choose to let that faith be their guide, TOUGH.....

No one is forcing you to go to church, pray or believe but you sure as hell are not going to take that away from us...

No one cares where you derive your values or if you even have any but the left will not succeed in driving those that have gotten their values thru christian teaching out of a political party.

I would surmise that the reason most evangelicals are republicans is that THEY are the party closest to their values and if they are contrary to yours, so be it. But thats not good enough for those on the other side, IMHO, they are hopelessly bound to making the other side tow the line. Not only do they wish to believe or NOT believe, they want to push THEIR will on others by force, vilification, intimidation or rule of law. So the bottom line is this, you choose not to let christian faith guide you, fine but it does not stop there you have to impose YOUR lack of those values on someone else. Forget it
