yes but a the clock starts new for every FTD...

Just because a FTD is in the system doesn't mean the stock is going to show up reg sho...

and further just because a new FTD is created doesn't mean the stock will remain on the reg sho list...

So for example lets say I am a market maker and I need to create a FTD because there isn't enough liquidity... and the stock is about to go off the reg sho list... me doing this so long as I haven't violated T+3 will not cause the stock to stay on Reg sho..

Further, this is a very rare and obscure case that rarely ever happens... the MM's don't create FTD's which they can't cover... And the liquidity is clearly not an issue, there are enough shares to go around... without need of the MM's creating shares..
