I thanked the PR firm for their letter and reiterated that I was not happy about the reverse split. I also mentioned that I was curious about the timetable around the publication in Nature Medicine.

I have enclosed their additional reply.

Regarding the publication of Peregrine's work with Duke University and others, the manuscript has been submitted for publication to a scientific journal and is currently in the editing and review process. The academic publishing process can be long, so it is not possible to predict exactly when the manuscript will be published, although we anticipate it will be relatively soon. As noted, we also are optimistic we will have good news to report on multiple fronts over the coming months, so if a reverse split is necessary, we would hope to be well prepared to make it a positive event for the company.

My take? News is coming, and Avid is percolating. I wish their was a little more activity so that I could trade, but I have no intention of dumping.
