krays: This info made my day...Thank you very much for posting this! I "knew" something had to be going down especially when I confirmed to myself that the 77MM block was BUY and not a sell which it showed up as (simple function of the time/sales chart...trade=<bid (sell), trade=>ask (buy), trade<>bid/ask (?)).

Now, the question is...who or what entity purchased those 77MM shares (~$150K)?

I wouldn't think that any common retail buyer like you or me could wave $150K in front of the MM's at 50% below the asking price and have them actually take it. They surely didn't take my $3K at .003/share that day. loL! I watched the price zip back/forth by me. Oh, well. Was able to grab so though near that recent bottom and am very pleased.

So, my first guess is YA, second guess is Scanbuy, third guess is MSFT.

Until yesterday I only had two guesses (YA or MSFT) but now a Scanbuy purchase of 77MM shares makes much more sense of a possibility since they could use the rise in profit from that to balance out any future monies spent on licensing NeoMedia's IP.

I'm not sure how the whole insider trading thing works but IMO, somebody inside (either inside YA or NEOM or both) knew about that trade prior to its execution.

A good interview to revist:

Also, to buttress N E O M's recent info: http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=41626210

...I recently had the privilege of hearing similar straight from a horse's mouth (not to be named) that there was a delay for "whatever reason" but an RFx for a 2D barcode clearinghouse similar to the clearinghouse for common short codes ( http://www.usshortcodes.com/ ) will be issued soon.

IMO, that 77MM share buy block and this hint of a settlement marks the beginning of a whole new era for NeoMedia. The prelude to this new era was the USPTO's ruling in Feb. and the Neustar partnership demo at the CTIA.

BTW, I like how they aptly named that announcement, "barcodefinal". wink
