One thing that is a huge wildcard for RODM is their principal transactions segment. This is where they mark their gains or losses for equity securities. As of June 30th they have $38.6M in financial instruments on their balance sheet. That is up significantly from $13.9M as of December 31st, 2008 and from $12.8M at March 31st, 2009. Also, with the huge number of deals that number probably has sharply risen. Given the raging bull market that has been going on for the past 6 months or so I suspect some very significant gains in this segment. Also, they have a significant amount of warrants which magnifies the gains. I wouldn't be shocked to see $0.50+ in EPS from this segment alone!
