The National Enquirer has publicly stated that it matters not one iota if lawsuits are filed against them and, in fact, regularly allow misinformation to be published.

The settles lawsuits are a drop in the bucket vs the revenue the articles bring in.

We know the "source" of the article is a short seller of SPNG, as he has stated so in this forum, making the argument of not publishing misinformation invalid.
