My dog has arthritis, and my vet prescribed a drug made by Pfizer and also used by humans (don't recall the name). I checked it out on the internet and was horrified at the number of dogs who were sent into convulsions by this drug, which apparently also builds up in the system and creates longer-term problems.

I wouldn't give it to a dog, let alone a human!
