turbo, you're missing the whole point: if you guess the acquisition accurately you spoil the surprise and the market won't bid the stock as high when the news comes. if you guess it wrong you run the risk of building up expectations that aren't met and this could create a sell off.

other risks are that you will guess it correctly and shareholders will start bombarding the company with phone calls. this might screw up a deal, by alerting the competition to what's happening, depending on how aggressive posters are.

i've been in lots of stocks where deals were being done and imo there is NOTHING positive that can come from playing 'guess the acquisition' on a message board.

want to do your own DD for your own benefit? that's fine. want to share this stuff to other traders privately? go for it. but i think sharing this stuff publicly is just flat out wrong.
