Techs only show trends under normal circumstances. Its the news about developments that realy move a stock, and the news positions the stock in a better or worse trend because of the accumulation happening in the spikes. The reason why this stock fell down is because few people that bought high where prepared to take a loss, but because there are a lot that bought high you can imagine that this kind of people thins out, that's when the ask gets higher (you can see this in the charts). Little reason will skyrocket the stock closer to the up or downward trend it was during the spike. that's why cvrg and hygn show a similar patern, and they both will spike again.
