jdow,maby this:Hello,

Please read this email in its entirety.

You recently completed an online registration for your Washington Mutual Stock holdings. The purpose of this was to show support for an Equity Committee being appointed for the Washington Mutual Inc Bankruptcy case in Delaware. More information on Equity Committees can be found at this link. .

Click here: http://www.bayardfirm.com/pdfs/equity-committees-representation.pdf

Unfortunately, many people did not understand that it was necessary to send a letter for the trustee. The online registration was ONLY for people who had previously sent a letter without including share information.

In order to use the information you registered at our site, it is necessary for you to send a letter for the trustee. Without your letter for the trustee, we are unable to use your data to support our request for an Equity Committee. Do NOT send your letter to the trustee, send it to us, and our attorney will hand deliver the letters to the trustee.

Scroll all the way down for a copy of an sample letter. Please be sure to include your printed name, your signature, your telephone number and your email address. We are having some difficulty matching up the online registrations with letters as many people have not given us complete info, or their signature is illegible. Remember, people have to be able to read this.

Where to send your letter:

Your letters can be faxed toll free to 1-877-651-0930 or should be mailed to:

WaMu Equity
PO Box 1031
Dumfries, VA 22026

We have had a significant number of reports of difficulties with faxes, and indeed most the letters people say have been sent, but not received are faxed letters. If you have any difficulty with the fax, send your letter by mail. If you choose to fax, it may be beneficial to follow up with a mailed letter. Write on the mailed copy that you also faxed the letter.

Please do this as soon as possible, there is no time to waste. We must have all data by Sep 9, 2009.

Below is a copy of our sample letter. You may write anything you like, as long as it includes the required data. Please limit your letter to one page.

What you MUST include in your letter

You must include the first line that tells which bankruptcy hearing this is in reference to, and you must print and sign your name, and include your telephone number and your email address. Include # of shares of which type of stock you own, There are 4 types. The common shares which used to be WM are now WAMUQ. The trustee may wish to contact you directly, so he needs a way to do that. If you do not include enough information to match your letter to your registration, then we will not be able to use your information to support the Equity Committee, and your information may be deleted from our database.
Do not print off this email...copy the letter into a word processing program or handwrite the letter. Send the letter to us, NOT the trustee.
